Winner of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology

Through her research, mainly from Mexico and Brazil about the relation between poverty and how society is governed, she has demonstrated the risks with legal uncertain methods and violence by the police. Results have contributed to a reform in Mexico for reduced use of torture.

The next Stockholm Criminology Symposium will take place June 12-14, 2023. The Stockholm Prize in Criminology Award Ceremony will take place on the evening of June 13 in the Stockholm City Hall.
