Child abuse

During 2015, 4,070 cases were reported regarding the assault of children aged between 0 and 6, and 10,400 cases involved assaults against children between the ages of 7 and 14. It is difficult to ascertain the real extent of child abuse, since the violence is often not reported to the police when it is committed against small children.
